Probiotics

Probiotics

For moms and dads:

Yes we recommend the use of Probiotics (Reuteri), since its intake is safe, well tolerated and can help reduce the symptoms of Colic, although more studies are needed to be able to recommend it with more force.

For healthcare professionals:

Bacterial microflora has been shown to be different in infants with infant colic. (See Hypothesis Review Section: Alteration of the intestinal microflora)

Probiotics could have the effect of modulating this microflora.
There are studies that demonstrate how the proctootic supplementation Lactobacilus Reuteri is safe, well tolerated, and with optimal results in reducing colic and its irritability.

However, in a study in 2012, the results with the Probiotics were negative.
