Inflammation of the intestinal mucosa

Inflammation of the intestinal mucosa.

For moms and dads:

The exaggerated increase in the first months of life of a hormone called Calcoprotectin causes intestinal inflammation.
So, for lack of more studies, this is another cause of pain and crying of babies with colic.

For healthcare professionals:

In the absence of more studies confirming this, we highlight some studies that show how the levels of fecal calcoprotectin are increased, even doubled in infants suffering from colic of the infant compared to the control group.
