For moms and dads:
It is the group of drugs known commercially by these brands: Whole Silicone, Aeroplus, Aerored.
No published study shows that its use is more effective than placebo.
For healthcare professionals:
Dimethicone, also known as Simethicone (Entire SiliconeTM, AeroplusTM, AeroredTM), reduces the surface area of air bubbles or gases from the gastrointestinal tract, making it easier to expel them.
However, there are currently no studies showing that it is more effective than placebo.
